Howdy!

That spacer won't do you any good at all, because your output shaft will be too short. That spacer is only useful if you are putting an np205 behind a 700 r4, or putting a LONG tail th350 in place of a 700r4 AND retaining the np208. If bolting in a th350/np205 combo, you have to get the shafts modified, that's all there is to it.

...did you say Impala?

No, the 700r4 to Th350 conversion uses the SHORT 6in Th350 shaft, so why couldn't a guy cut down a 9in 2wd Th350 output shaft??? I bet it can be done. I'd have to do some math, but I'd almost say it can be done. I know the 205 adapter is longer and doesn't it use a coupler to the Th350 shaft?

We were right by the Missouri River, started out cat fishing and drinking and all we were catching was a buzz so we desided to get a lil mud on the tires lol

Yes, but the '80 and older (with 203/205) 4x4 th350 uses the REALLY short output. Remember we had a big long thread about this a while back?

With that early 4x4 th350, you won't be able to run the np208 without swapping in a longer output shaft.

If strength is the goal, you can't beat the np205.
