81 short bed, 5.3LS, 4L80e. I'm having trouble getting my pinion angle correct as my 4L80 is up as high as it will go and the angle is still out by 3-4 degrees. I'm currently using ICT Billet motor mounts and wondered if anyone has a suggestion for lower profile motor mounts? Thx

Did you move your tcase crossmember to where it naturally would rest with the new engine installed? If you bind up the mount with the engine/newmounts it may be aiming the outputs incorrect

I dont know how much for/aft the 5.3 and adapter with a 4l80e would place a tcase

I'd look at changing pinion angles, beware that you don't lose caster if doing this. Something I would consider( because I'm a weirdo) pull the rivets on the front cross member lower the crossmember with shims cut from steel plate and bolts. I could set the engine height where I wanted it.

Need more info. Define "angle is still out by 3-4 degrees". What transmission crossmember are you using? Also, are the ICT Billet mounts their slider style mounts? If so, those are the lowest mounts you can get.

I've helped several buddies build these trucks with 4L60s and 4L80s, some using the Tejas Steelworks mounts and some using the slider mounts, none of them have had much for driveshaft angle issues. The couple that were stupid low, we did play with some pinion angle shims in the back and that got it where it needed to be.
