its a 1987 so it has the computer and the neutral safety switch.

i may do the pedal swap, or just remove the clutch pedal by itself...

so far i know i will need:
transmission ( 700R4 )
torque converter
flex plate
shifter ( probably a cable floor shifter)
TV cable
transmission cooler & lines

who has done this before and can recommend some parts?

I'd do a pedal swap. The hydraulic clutch setup (pedals, master and slave cyls) is worth $300 and will help offset the cost of the conversion.
