Manual gear lever housing wobble

Hello my dear forum
I hope this wasn't a sticky topic or anywhere else already discussef and solved. And if, I tried to find it with no success.
My problem is a wobbly loose gearshift lever housing of my column three shift manual. It shifts quite well never experienced any trouble getting into gears. But the lever and its housing are loose.
Can some one please tell me if that housing is may be even supposed to be loose and wobbly, i really don't think it should, but hey...
Changing it will be a killer, I saw a picture thread explaining the steps and that will surely drive my nuts...

May be my description was poor or no one knows an answer, if it were because of my skills to describe, may be this video says more than 1000 words...

Any one an idea if that movement is normal and if not how to fix it?

It's probably normal for one with a lot of use? Does it shift ok otherwise?

I've never torn one of those 3spd columns down to know what makes them tick.

Shifting is good as far as I can tell.
It is my first manual shift in a car that age, my experience is limited but I am happy with it.
That unprecise sleeve or housing or whatever it is drives me nuts

Just guessing worn bushings. I owned an '81 Custom Deluxe that was a daily driver for 11 years and it too was wobbly.

Sorry, I never returned on this. Hints tend to point in that direction more and more.

I’ve only been around 2 GM 3 on the tree vehicles (35 years ago) and both were sloppy (and old even back then).
Sorry don’t have anything more to add to that other than I’m sure it’s just worn bushings etc. And steering columns are like a jigsaw puzzle….
