Loop carpet in the later trucks

Would the '73 and '74 loop carpet kits from whoever fit in a late 70's truck? What differences were there between the years carpet-wise?

I like the look and durability of loop carpet over cut pile carpet.

I have a car with loop carpet floor mats from the factory and they are 17 years old and still like new. I have another car with cut pile floor mats and were beat to hell in 3 years.

Maybe I just need to get loop floor mats for the truck.

Should be the same. If it doesn't fit quite right, I'd say it's more likely because it's aftermarket carpet, rather than because it's loop.

I planned on putting loop style in my '78 and '84.

Seems about what I was thinking, just more trimming or holes in the wrong places.

Interested in this as well. Have a '86 and much rather have loop carpet than plush. Would think the floor pan and tunnel are the same? Just wonder why different part numbers when looking on one supplier's site for 73, 74, 75-80 and 81-87. (FWIW, the part number seems to be the pattern, as the color and carpet type are separately selectable and don't alter the "part # for each year range.)

It's hard to say, but someone must know. Of the listings I've looked at, it's based off of the year and whether it's 'high hump' or 'low hump'. Or sometimes it's 2wd/auto or 2wd/manual/4x4/auto. Completely overlooking the fact that 2wd high hump floors are different than 4x4 high hump floors.

The years have different shaped transmission tunnels, that probably would mean the molded carpet (loop) (pile) are different , but I’m just guessing.
