I etched all the windows on my old 69 step side. It's been gone for decades. Now I have a new blank canvas, which looks rather much like a 78 step side.

It was a bit of work, but as people pointed out, it looked nice and stood the truck out around every other truck around it.

The only thing I would really have done different on the old 69, were I to do it all over again, would be, add some shading to the floral parts to give them more depth.

Not only was the etch fun, after the fact (I drew positive attention from a lot of people), it had function too. I had built a console for the overhead, above the windshield, and moved all the gauges up into the overhead. In doing that, I have to remove the visors. The etch helped shade from the sun. Too, at night, whatever color the stop lights were, the etch glowed that color, so I didn't really have to see the light to know what it was signaling.

ANYWAY, to the point of this post: I'm looking for ideas and opinions on etch ideas.

I attached what photos I have left of my old 69 to give an idea of what I did in the past. I won't do a Chev emblem, since this is a C15 / GMC by title and I can't decide if that plays or not (kind of wish it did).

I threw in the bunny etch I did for my kids to give an idea of the difference shading makes in a glass etch.

I'm leaning toward Victorian era glass etch details. Pinstripes with loops and curls, for example.
