You will be fine with Long tube headers cause it’s 4x4. I went with shorties because I’m slammed on the ground and did t want them below the frame rail. Check out Sanderson headers. They don’t require a gasket.

No matter which way, on a stock motor, you'll never really tell much difference between the two anyway. Unless it's a big block.
not sure on the cam etc, as not running atm, but its a qjet bbc, and no name long tubes with drivers rotted and passenger well on the way, funds are an object, & suggestions gratefully accepted

Save your money and invest in a good quality rust repair and under body coating. These old squares will literally turn to brown dust lol

I ran Jeg's brand headers for a long while and they seemed to last and were pretty decent priced. Then went to coated shorties once I could afford it since it's lowered.

I am running the Hooker manifolds on my ‘73. I am very pleased, although I should’ve ordered the coated version. It cost almost as much to get them coated.

I use black Duplicolor Supertherm paint on all my manifolds. Black and Silver withstands 1470°F/800°C. It faded a little after 11 years on the K5 but no rust or chipping paint. I don't know if it's available in the US. 1 rattlecan costs 20$ and coats a pair of manifolds.

Just don't buy cheap ass headers, if you go that way. Spend the money, buy quality. Buy American.
