LED bulbs in gauge cluster

I would pull the cluster back out and find the ground tab that bolts up into the top, left, metal cowling area. It will have like 6 ground tabs on it, maybe only 3 being used by wires. Remove the center bolt/screw and clean the metal ground bracket and the metal dash mounting area for that single bolt/screw.

Think of it as if the main ground bracket doesn't ground to the truck body, then none of the wire grounds are grounding either. One of those wires IS the instrument cluster ground wire.

this would be a good idea to do no matter what every 30 years or so

Try to find quality parts. I went with a new circuit board, an inexpensive one and two of the bulbs were getting 0 volts. I couldn't see anything wrong with it, they just didn't get any voltage. I ended up getting board from LMC for a little more money but now all of my lights in my dash work.

I think I’m getting old, because I really dislike the color and brightness of most LEDs for anything other than headlights. Some decent Sylvania 168s and possibly repainting the reflector is the furthest I like going at this point.

I tried switching back to regular bulbs. Still nothing. I’m wondering if I need all the bulbs in place to complete the circuit. I was missing 2.

You don't need all bulbs in. All are individually powered
