Hi,

I like the style of the lifted Stepside on Kid Rock "First Kiss" video http://www.imcdb.org/i800165.jpg

What would you estimate for the suspension lift, wheel- and tire sizes?
Wheels seems to be Rockstar XD series. How about the tires?

Sorry if this has been asked before, tried to use the search but it just showed me some skirts on ebay.

I'd guess an 8" lift and 37's. Those are Nitto Mud Grapplers and I would not recommend them unless you are a serious mudder but then you wouldn't have asked what they were. They are a LOUD tire.

Thanks glockholiday! Too bad in Europe we can increase vehicle height only 170 mm (6.7 in.) :(

So you can go with a 6" lift and 35" tires with pretty much the same look.

Thanks again, 6 in lift and 35 tires seems to be a good combination. Still pondering between 18" and 20" rims.

In the "Kid Rock" truck I guess the rims are 20? Would 18 rims look about the same on 35 tire? Hard to build trucks here, maybe 10 restored square bodies on the entire country :)

Between those two sizes, I prefer the look of 18's. 20's just look too big unless you're running a 40"+ tire.

Hello. I have been working with the Kid Rock "First Kiss" style truck. Purchased '78 K10 stepside, installed 4" Rough Country lift kit and put on 35x12.5 tires on 15x12 wheels.

For this winter I teared the truck to parts and will repaint the frame and cab among other job. I like the blue/turqoise color of the truck on the video but can not figure out the paint code. It is definitely metallic color but matching it to factory colors is difficult for me. The closest match I have found is "Le Mans Blue" used on Chevelles.

Could you help me with the color?

There is the picture of Kid Rock truck https://www.imcdb.org/v800165.html and video

That looks really good. I was in the suspension business and raised hundreds of these trucks. You're at that sweet spot, IMHO.

Good looking rig there. It looks like more than four inches of lift. Referring to crf450's post.

Thanks Kim and Donnie! I'm also happy with the stance. I agree it looks more than 4" but it is Rough Country 4" all-spring kit. I measured the actual difference but it is hard to compare with factory as the truck seemed to be lifted already a little as it cleared 33" tires without problem.

Have you some guess about the colour of the Kid Rock's truck? In some shots it looks to be turqoise and in some shots very light/misty blue. Hard to match it with factory colors offered in 78 and 79.

Then you should know his tires will rub...

If they do rub, they won't need much fender mod. I was assuming he wasn't having any problems from his post.

I haven't recognized rubbing with the setup during two months. Been driving it only on road though, not intended for off-roading.

I like that setup minus the wheels

Is does look pretty flat out there in the woods of Finland. I guess it's possible not everyone gets twisted up.
