Hello all! Its been a few years! I used to live on this site back when I was building my 79K10 (my Original handle on here way back in the day. I cant remember the email i used for it so had to make this one to get back in here) ...
Honestly I think this site was what got me through my divorce. I would go in the garage and wrench for a few hours, come on here and read up on my issues and post my success stories. Funny thing is the marriage counsellor told my x wife she needs to let me have a hobby, working 2 jobs and dealing with her crap every day off wasnt good for me. (That was our last session lol)
So i just kept wrenching on that thing: all kinds of motor work, swapped the transfer case and tranny when the front driveline snapped on the freeway and smashed it all up. almost caught fire from the wiring under the dash.
Ive had a bunch of squares over the years. few long beds 2 wheel and 4x4, long diesel that i striped for parts, 2 stepsides, 2 short fleets, a 71c10.
My 2 daughters helped me swap a motor in my 75 c10, weve got a bunch of pics all over the wall of them helping, they also helped me drop a motor and trans in my nova. both projects were moved on unfortunately.
Most of my posts on here were from 2006 to about 2014 with my brown 79 k10, that truck put me through it, but also got me through it. i got pulled over in that thing all the time, spinning donuts in the mud on the freeway offramp with my daughter, she was always saying "spin the mud" the cops let me go every time i got pulled over, i think they just liked the truck lol. I gave it to my x brother in law about 10 years ago, hes still got and its still going! he beats the hell out of it! its a tank!
I hoping to get another project square soon and start sharing the build. For now ill be checking out what everyone is up to, I recognize some of the names still on here so it will be cool to see what theyve done with their rigs! Im really glad to see this site is still up! Thanks!
