So i recently had my transmission rebuilt and its likenwhen i put her in drive and hitnthe gas she revs high before switching into gear but it only does it when switching into that first gear:help:

Not normal, I would be taking this up with the builder. Sounds like too much clearance in the 1st/reverse clutch pack, or a sticking valve in the valve body.

If it's a recent rebuild, I'd damn sure be taking it back and ASAP too. If that's a slip everytime just before it makes the full shift, then you're burning up a clutch pack everytime it does that, even though just a little bit, it adds up and is taking miles off the end life of the trans. If you can prevent it from doing that, like manual shifting, or when you know it's coming, let off the gas and wait for the shift to complete before you get back on the gas, then do so. Assuming this is a 700r4, I'd also be having the 1-2 servo checked out.
