Well its done had to re set the timing no big deal
Now it has low idle and when revving the engine at operating temp it stalls, hard starts, Code 22 TPS gone bad?? It was fine before? did the throttle body cleaner damage it when i blasted it? Also Bent Kinked fuel Line trying to remove, not bad no leak, would this be part of the issue Driver side Line also did not have it complete plug in just resting on top probably shorted out??

Latest cleaned the electrical connections on the TPS and cleared the ECM codes gone? Went for a test drive engine light came on hard shift ran like it was going to stall!
Checked codes now code 42 came up just replaced the ICM in June Checked the wires all looked good, Cleared the ECM again started the engine let it idle and it stalled out

Re start very hard then idle was very low reved it up and stalled No CODES Help?!

@Mango did you reconnect the EST connector after you set the timing? with that disconnected, you will have code 42, seemingly low idle, and it will be hard to start.

and if you didn't disconnect it when you set the timing to 0, your timing is way retarded.

I am not following. you should have started the truck, let it idle til warmed up, disconnected the EST, set timing to 0, turn truck off, reconnect EST. then you are good to go. is that what you did?

idle air control valve. screws into the TBI next to the TPS. wondering if you removed it or otherwise did anything with it that would have plugged the passageway or if it needs to be reset.

spend some time with the emissions and drivabiity manual, available in the reference library of this site. it is the GM TBI Bible.

quick reset is to jumper AB on ALDL with a paperclip and turn key on for 30-45sec. that forces IAC closed and lets the computer know where 0 IAC counts is located.

you can also cycle the key on for 10sec and then key off and then start. that forces it all the way open, but not sure if that is as effective.

Did that several times while checking codes,
added a new ground strap to the frame cleaned out the bolt hole to remove thread sealant to get better ground
Idles great rev it up sounds great short test drive across the parking lot stalled out
Cleaned out all the electrical connections added dielectric grease
Drove to town six miles would stall out about every quarter mile, if I acceleration fast quick stall after releasing gas peddle
I am puzzled
Thanks for the help
