I have plenty of snap guages, what your looking at, as well as an micrometer I would be happy to let you use. If your looking to buy ebay is your best bet, Fowler is fine, as is SPI, Lufkin (my favorite) Mititoyo. Starrett and Brown and sharp are fine but usually over priced.

Thanks man, but I just bought a Fowler bore dial gauge, and Pop has a micrometer, so we will be able to measure these bores. :happy160:

You could use the HF ID mic. Then take it back when your done. ;)

I didn't see anything on HF that looked like a bore dial indicator, and those things I showed in the first post definitely are not what I needed.

I'd try a pawn shop. Bet you might find something in there. Machinist pawn their tools a lot when work is slow.

If all else fails just have a few cold ones, then hold your two thumbs up in front of you at arms length and eyeball it!! LOL :jester:
