Finally got the trans in and am mobile again,just in time for another snow storm.A couple of mods from the 85 to 92s were necessary.The 85 has a 2nd gear sw in the valve body and a external sw.The 92 valve body dosent have a port to screw the sw into,just cut the harness and butt crimped the wires together.Swaped the external sw to the 92 and everything is happy.Also swaped the diesel for gas govenor.Also used the supplied convertor that is supposed to be a little tighter,less stall.. Test drove it and cant really feel a differance.Shifts nice and firm and is good to go.The trans came with a nice deep cast alluminum pan with a drain plug.I think we put 16qts ATF in it.
