Hey y'all!
I'm Mike, from the Texas side of the Texarkana area. I've just bought a survivor of a 1978 Big Ten with the 350 4 bolt main and the Muncie 4 speed. This is my first Squarebody and my first pickup, and I'm excited to get to work of it (ask my wife... I think she's sick of hearing about it).
Work starts with a revival, as she's been sitting parked in a neighbor's back yard for about 14 years. Thankfully, the engine turns freely with the plugs out and seems to have pretty strong compression with them in, so that's a win.
I have some questions, so I look forward to picking your brains.

Howdy from Ohio!

Cool truck too! There were 2wd's with roll bars and stuff just like that running around my area back when they were newer.

Yeah, the rollbar and "Prius Pusher" in front are both custom jobs of the PO, who originally bought the truck in 77. I'll probably keep the push bar. I'm undecided on the rollbar.

Imho, it's a still a good look for a non-lowered 2wd. Even the high traction rear tires.

The PO had some very particular things he checked, and some he didn’t (and would regret, like no a/c in Texas. Lol). What would you say is missing? It has most- if not all- of the base Silverado options, I thought.

It has the brightwork, the full body trim treatment, the brushed aluminum-esque dash and door trim panels, the carpet on the lower doors, the interior insulation, wall-to-wall carpet, ribbed velour seat cover… it has the optional step bumper, sliding rear glass, cargo lamp, rally wheels, PS and PB, posi diff (so he said, have not confirmed) and the dual 16 gallon tanks. Not sure what, other than an automatic trans and a/c that he didn’t want, is missing.
