Sorry everyone been busy. Took out the 250 and put in a 350. (Over 10 years) rebuilt the steering and suspension, sandblasted and painted the frame. It has been a fun project. Was my grandparents truck they gave to me in the late 80’s. I drove it many years until the exhaust manifold collapsed.(intrigal head none available for that year). Sooo. Out 6 in 8! Kept the clutch. Trans was good just resealed it. Rebuilt driveshaft, serviced diff. All new brakes. Just going stock with all this. Daily driver that looks good but can be used and dependable.

Heres more. Just got it running this week. Putting in a Dakota dash. Later perhaps vintage air. That is all the fancy stuff. Crank windows, rubber floor,no headlner. Simple.

Thought id give an update…. Drivetrain installed, wiring mostly done. Think the mechanical part is done. Got it running so i can move it. Fabd in a crank/cable type spare tire carrier. Now working on the body having a friend help. Hopefully this year have it done. Had to get a bigger compressor for the body work and then got a blast cabinet. Better late than never! Slow going on the body. Waiting for it to warm up a bit maybe next month hit it hard.

I'd love to see any pics of fab for this. I found one other, and hope to do the same.
Best regards!

Here is some progress pics. Took care of some rust, cleaned up the steering wheel, removed all the old sealer in the bed then treated it and seam sealed it. Cleaned up and painted the window regulators. Lots of little stuff. Now working on the vent windows.

That's much simpler than what I had in mind. I over think. However I was going to put in a aftermarket top plate that has it at an angle, and try installing picked parts, tube to bumper.
Thanks for the pics!!!
Edit, you did install the tube to bumper?!
Maybe one more pic? Your not at an angle?

Ok got the hoist from a 2001 ish f150( I know ford parts in a chevy) did a LOT of measuring to get it centered. Used the angle iron so I would have a lip to support the hoist. As you can see the hoist bkt isnt level on both sides so i had to shim the rear angle iron. Also the frame drops a bit there. Used the tube just cut it down a bit and since it snaps in the hoist it seems to be secure. Gonna run 31/10.5 15 tires so mocked up one on a rim and it fits. Truck is not done yet so I cant say it works perfect but seems fine. Had to play with it a bit. All bolt in though so if i dont like it easy to remove.
