I just recently purchased a 87 R10 Silverado. I plan on restoring it to take to shows going to but a lift and doing some upgrades to it also.

Great looking truck, welcome. What do you mean about the lift?

I think they're just confused since most people don't lift a RWD. Lifts are usually to allow ground clearance for larger tires for offroading...which isn't done with a 2x4 really.

Nice truck though, and if YOU want to lift it, go for it. :)

I'm not opposed to giving a 2wd a lift. May not be my thing but all for supporting the OP-ers question and trying to help any way I can. Just clarifying so I can give the best $.02 possible.
