What's up?
Deciding I need to work on my 75 GMC camper special. My mom gave me this beast shortly after my stepdad passed away. No one else wanted it.
I figure I can make it a really good yard work/ dump run type rig with a little work. I was one of the old mans work trucks. He was a plumber. its seen its fair share of weight. He, and the previous owner, had 10 ft campers on it for awhile as well. Wow! I just realized I've known this truck for 28 yrs! My stepdad bought this truck just after I got out of the army, that was 1988. Wow, I'm old.
Anyway, here's the particulars on this truck.
The good:
The front suspension had new bushings an realigned a year before it was "retired".
Newer drums/rotors pads as well.
I replaced u joints/carrier bearing about 5 yrs ago.
350 4 bolt main only has approx. 30,000 miles. high estimate.
The bad:
Previous owner hit it with a JC Whitney automotive electrical catolouge, badly.
It doesn't need a key. I start it with a toggle switch/momentary push button.
Rust. So. Much. Rust.
Ill post pics when I can.
Thanks.
