anyone know why two red wires would lead to one black attached to a terminal on the truck with another red wire attached? Seems like affixing to the truck would make a ground no? Anyway this connection was smoking so I remember wired it. No lore smoke but it still gets pretty hot. Any thoughts?

I believe that's a junction box. Always hot.

One of red wires might be not stock. Or just poor connections or small wire for the load

Yeah I think maybe I’ll try to re-wire both of those wires with 12 gauge and see how that works. They look to be about 16 or 18 gauge currently
