hello,
This site has been an amazing source of information for me in my project to restore my late father’s K10. It has sat in a field for over 15 years! I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I’m wanting to know if this gear ratio will be suitable for the 35” tires I plan to mount after I put a lift on?

That looks like a 3.07 ratio - 14 and 43 are stamped on it. Not good for 35’s. Probably going to want to look at 4.11’s or 4.56’s. 4.11’s would be cheaper, as there is no carrier change.

And put up some truck pictures when you get a chance!

Thank you so much. I was afraid I would hear that. Which do you think would be cheaper, changing gears or getting new axles.
