Help ID what year gauge cluster

I have a 82 C10 and not all the gauges work. A few months ago my neighbor gave me a gauge cluster that's in really good shape. The problem is mine uses a Speedo with a cable and the one he gave me looks to be electrical. Can I still swap them or will it not work.

I looked all over for part numbers or some kinda identifying number but no luck. Sure wish I could put it in mine but, I'm thinking no go. Hope I'm wrong.

90-91 R or V series squarebody w/ VSS, relatively valuable (~$200). Most of the wiring is different on these from previous years so it requires a fair amount of tracing / repinning of the harness plug to retro fit.

Other than the speedo and back housing, isn't the rest of the gauges and the face the same?

I thought so too.

Yes, the gauges are interchangeable with other years (assuming you have the correct sender) but the printed circuit on the rear is different both in shape and circuit routing.
