Hello, I've been getting a lot of good advice from this group and decided to jump right in.

Im working on a 84 Jimmy and just picked up a 90 Blazer to use for parts. But the Blazer does not have the rust issues the Jimmy has. Engine may not run in the Blazer. My son says to use the Jimmy to make the Blazer. Any other suggestions.

Welcome. I take it there both 4x4? If so the 90 will have better axles, then the 84. 30 spline vs. 28

Yes, they are both 4x4. The 90 Blazer has front end damage and i like the suspension set up better than the 84 Jimmy. The Jimmy brings back old memories from my days in the Army so always makes me smile driving it. And the Jimmy runs great, 4wd works great too.

Keep the axles off the 90.

You've got a golden opportunity in front of you Don the new guy.

My real suggestion is to capitalize on it and view this thread.

Welcome, btw.

All you need is another Blazer! Don. You've got the right stuff!
Baby.

Yes sir, the Budweiser and tequila flowed freely on the 3rd but luckily there was plenty of BBQ baby backs and brisket to help keep me upright. For awhile that is! LOL

If i ever live in Texas all i would ever do is buy non-rusted squares drink beer and eat bbq. The only problem with all the bbq i would probably have a heart attack at 40
