Well in my long search for ac in my 1979 c10 with a 84 cab. I have always had diffent firewall holes. Drastically different.

I've budgeted and found vintage air is too expensive for what ive got going for me right now.

So in the last hour I made alot of progress into finding 1984 ac parts. However recently I noticed. The boxes for a 84 aren't that different from a 79. Which is weird cause the holes in my cab are drastically different.

So I did a quick look. And in about 5 minutes of searching I found out. My damn cab is a heat only.

Now who the bloody heck orders a heat only truck in south texas? Idk. Clearly didnt have many braincells.

Now what ive got to figure out. Is how to cheaply convert this cab.
Any suggestions?
I've still got the 79 ac so at this point could I just rig it up to work in the 84? Im ight with firewall mods. Its alrety screwed up.

This is probably not the solution your looking for, but you could use some flexible ducting hoses, and these other items to get you cab cold.

Funnily enough. I've thought about that.
I happen to have 2 of thoes we use for construction.

Since I made the post tho ive decided imma just adapt my 79 ac to the 84.
Firewall is alrety screwed, went and testfitted and it fits.
