So I finally decided to upgrade my candle stick headlights to HID's. I have bought unsealed H4 housings that will accept my Kensun H4 Single beam HID. I need to make sure that all H4 HID's fit my wiring. Has anyone had problems with this? Maybe there's a harness I looked over? Thanks

i installed hid in my 75, it was plug and play, the headlight housing does make a difference. On my old toyota truck i have hella housing, they throw a better light pattern than the cheap knock offs on ebay.

On my 74, it was all plug and play.

Sometimes you find that the pins for the H4 connector on the HID kit are backwards. May have to swap the pins between Hi/Low.

Since HIDs need a reliable voltage when igniting, it also helps to use a headlight harness to take the strain off of your headlight switch (they just use two relays, one for lows, and one for highs).
