Man, that's wild!! How do they dim down? I've heard that some LED don't dim down well.

Quality LED especially made for a cluster can dim. Cheap LEDs like to just be on-off, part of how making them cheaper goes i suppose.
Cheap ones also like to conduct very very small amounts of current present in circuits that may be turned off but would otherwise do nothing at all, and show illumination. Little. But it is the sign of a cheap one.

SuperbrightLEDs.com has a pretty good selection of LED bulbs for classic cars and trucks. We bought bulbs from them to do the outside of my sons 87 GMC V1500 Sierra classic. we also did the dash lights and interior on my 74 Dodge charger Se. I really like the way they look and the dimming feature works fine

How did you get the climate control bulb in led? Isn't that a different type? Not a 194? Mine look bayonet style.
i can attest a non ac truck has a 194. I have a 194 led in it and its providing illumination to nothing like an AC thing but its supposed to lol. My control head is gone and its just sitting on top the radio

Huh. a 75? It may be different because of the age. The Ashtray wasnt even always lit with a bulb, it was fiber optic at one point. Same with the wiper switch. The 77 and 80 trucks I have examples of I know would be heat only and 194.

BUT, the 77 with AC im not sure I can check. the control panel isnt there anymore but the bulb would be

I am not going outside rn to see what it for sure is but that bulb socket of white and black wires goes to something, , it also doesnt look 194. maybe its a AC light? who knows. the original radio bulb would be at large because of this electric unit.

They don't respond to voltage changes like incandescent bulbs do. You need a Pulse Width Modulated voltage source to do it correctly. They are available for around $15 USD.

Then, there's this . . .
