I only found a 4wd cab, no pics for $5800. Surely no one is repopin cabs right? It seems for that kind of money you could get 3 old cabs reworked at a body shop to perfect condition.

I wonder what the fit and finish is on those. For that kind of money they better be oem quality!

I found a company that makes complete fiberglass cabs, but they are around 7-8k and require finish work. But it would never, ever rust again!

After seeing what some members have paid for cabs, I so kick myself in the ass for selling my 2wd rust free cab for $50. Even they guy who came to get it came from a 2 1/2 hour drive to get it, and he told me before he even looked at it, that its probably not rust free. He had looked at about 10 cabs that were rust free so the seller thought, and he found rust on the supports under the cabs and didn't buy them. I thought him and his girlfriend were gonna get it on right there in front of me in my backyard they were so happy when they looked it over and it was rust free as I said it was.

Interesting.

The price is pretty steep.

It would be nice if they included some info on it, other than the price....like whether they come bare metal or if they are primered or painted.

I think it would be very cool if they offered an extended cab version......

MAYBE if I were doing a show truck and trying to save on a lot of body work/rust repair (that I can't do myself) on a bad cab by changing it myself. It would definitely be cheaper (or free) labor to get it ready for show paint.

It would definitely be a faster route if you were in a time crunch and weren't real handy with body work. I can see someone like Chip Foose when Overhaulin' was on going this route or those dude on Chop, Cut, Rebuild when they have a large budget to work with or are trying to sell products so they get it for free anyway. :) Most of us are not in the big of a hurry or have that kinda budget so here we sit

I wonder how titling goes after you buy a brand new cab, would it be a 2011 squarebody? I was reading about a company in Texas that bought the Delorean factory with a bunch of left over parts and started producing DMC12's again. They look exactly like the old cars but are registered as 2011 cars.

That is a great question. That is neat about the Delorean. Can you imagine brand new GM SB's rolling of the line as 2011 models? I would die, lol...
