FOUND - 5.0 / 305 Core or rebuildable engine 86-87 / 87-91

Looking primarily for a rebuildable 5.0 / 305 block only or engine that can be rebuilt. Machine shop had purchased all the parts and started to bore when it was determined my original block was not going to be able to be rebuilt. I have all parts to rebuild but a block.

I am restoring an 1987 R10 and my factory block had a core shift during the casting .. never heard of it but "it" happens.

The following cast numbers would work to keep it period correct. ... they all had an available Vin Code "H" I believe.

14093627
14088551

I live in Southeast Texas and willing to drive within 5 hours any direction. For me this is a sweeping radius from Texas - Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth to Baton Rouge, New Orleans Louisiana.

Would consider shipping for good core only.

Man, I wish you had posted this last week. I had 2 of them on the scrap trailer that were heavy smokers when pulled.

Lemme ask the guy I sold the 87 I had if he’s pulled the motor yet.

@kkgp81 That would be great .. I just need a good rebuildable block .. if the cast is 14102058 that would be fantastic .. Cast Number 14093627 would be perfect for the period correct TBI

Your profile shows Texas .. as we know that could be a 13 hour drive .. but hey .. IH10 E/W or IH 35 or 45 N/S ... plenty of road time.

Some guy who recently posted is swapping up to a 350 from a low low milage 305 truck. I want to say less than 30k. Search,search,search. You guys can help each other out.
