My '85 C20 454 is a rat's nest of vacuum lines, many that are loose and Ican find few diagrams illustrating where they are even supposed to go to. Is there some reference that I could use to learn which I can just eliminate/cap off? I hate this mess. TIA.

The Chilton service manuals usually have this information, as does the sticker on the core support (if you still have that) I think. At least my '82 C1500 has the sticker.

Some of the vacuum diagrams are posted here. Do not start ripping and tearing it out unless you understand what everything does. There are endless threads here about people doing just that. Then they need help because something doesn't work correctly.
