I was wondering if there is any way around installing drop shackles without cutting the bed or will I even have to? My truck is an 86 long box 2WD.......

May not have to with a long bed. It will also matter if you have 52" or 56" rear springs.

will have to check thats basically just measuring eyelet to eyelet right

Roughly, yes.

But just look above your shackle and see if there's a bed crossmember there. If there is, you'll have to notch it for a drop shackle.
