Got mine dropped on Saturday. Dropped the front 5" using DJM 3" spindles and DJM 2" drop springs. Changed the bushes and ball joints whilst I was at it.

Drove it to work with 5" front drop and no rear drop. That was an experience!! Front airdam bottomed out everywhere and I struggled to keep the truck in a straight line!

Dropped rear with a DJM flip kit and 2" Belltech shackles. Think I got about an 8" drop or thereabouts.

Pro Comp Toxic drop shocks on all round too with extenders on rear.

Changed wheels and tires. 17x8.5 TTIIs up front with 235/55s and 17x9.5 rears with 275/60s.

Finished up by doing the front alignment. The truck now drives really nicely with no harshness but is a little bouncy on the front. Maybe higher rate springs are in order to accomodate the big block.....

I do have a belltech sway bar to go on the front (theres no sway bar at the moment). Maybe that will help a little??

Anyway heres a before and after....(paint to come soon)

Looks awesome!
Just curious. What size rims were on the "before" pics? Just for comparison.

Thanks for the compliments! :happy107:

BADAZ the 'before' rims are 15x10 with 295/50s. Drives much nicer now. And I love how it looks.

Although I may be tempted to go 1" more all round. I think that will require to run without inner fenders on the front and relocate the battery. I'll leave as is for now though and think about it.

Looks great! The chrome bumper is an improvement too :waytogo:

So it rides nicer now? I always thought the lowering springs would take away the softness and make it ride more "sporty".

So did I. Maybe its the coil springs I have but it doesnt feel any stiffer to me. I chopped off the lower bump stops and felt the tire touch the inner fender once over a large bump.

The rear springs are the same obviously. Just located below the axle now.

On the rear, did you remove the stock bump stop rubber or did you take off the whole holder too then put the ones they include in the kit? I just got done with a 3/5 and was thinking about the shackles and coils next...

With a 5in rear drop you really need to go ahead and remove the bump stop mount off the frame.

On the rear, I c-notched. Probably didnt need to but did it anyway. The notch was a belltech kit and I used the bumpstops that came with the kit.

this is my 85 c10 axle flip rear home made 4'' shock extensions

front has 1.5 coils cut off only temporary want to go with 3'' spindles and 2'' coils when money allows.

295-50x15 rear 15x10 wheels rear
235-60x15 front 15x8 wheels front

and I want to convert the rear to trailing arms

I am just getting this going after a frame swap
