On my Accel dist. button stopped spinning, thought I had sheared the gear, but pulled out and found the shaft was spinning but not the head, anyone ever run into this before, practically brand new, seems to be spinning on advance plate

Where did you buy it from? I see you are in Georgia, did you perhaps buy it in-store at Summit? If so, you may be able to walk in there with it and they might give you a new one right there on the spot.

A lot of the salesman are good with stuff like that. I once walked into Jegs looking to buy 1 new Comp Cams rocker arm/ pivot ball/ nut because of some abnormal wear on the one I had with me. They guy went and pulled a new set off the shelf, opened it up, then gave me a new rocker/pivot/nut out of the set that had previously been unopened. I didn't even buy the rockers from Jegs. Or buy them at all for that matter, they were on the car when I bought it. He took my old parts, handed me the new ones and told me to have a nice day. Summit has similar customer service.
