Custom Half doors and removable window skins

Hey guys, summer is rolling around and I decided that I wanted make tube doors or half doors. But I would prefer not to get wet if it rains and I don't want to put doors back on every time it rains. I know jeeps have soft shell windows that zip off. Should I try to modify one of those to fit my doors or can I buy the clear plastic a snap on shell? Someone has had to of made something like this before, any input/ ideas?

If you do make half doors, you can use some 1/4" round and make a window frame. Personally I would just throw some lexan/plexiglass on top of it instead of trying to make a zipped plastic window.
