Clutch fork and pivot ball

I've just replaced the clutch in my 86' GMC 2500 the clutch fork was cracked where the slave cylinder sits in it and the pivot ball was severely worn, and so I've gotten a new fork and pivot ball. I have the new pivot ball installed. I am having trouble to say the least getting the throwout bearing and new fork onto the spline in the bell housing. It seams they have to go on at the same time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Well...Dick...do you have the slave bolted into the housing yet? It will probably be difficult to get the fork & release bearing lined up with the input shaft with the slave piston pressuring the fork. I'd remove the slave from the housing if so.
If you do not have the slave mounted then check to make sure the fork is sitting on the pivot correctly.
I dig your handle name as well. When I have to insult without foul language I'll also use the term "sexual intellectual". Not everyone gets it. Maybe this will help & you'll get that third pedal working.
