Im looking to get a set of axles, was wondering how the 41 10 gears would work with my 350 ci & 700r4? The back of the ring gear has a little surface rust, was wondering if it would be a concern? The guy said he left it uncovered for a little bit. Ill post up a pic in a bit, my phone won't let me.

41 divided by 10 equals 4.10 ratio. Always take the ring gear and divide by the pinion gear.

This is a pic of the #'s on the ring gear, if you look closely, you can see some fuzzy surface rust starting to grow on the carrier itself. Is that a cause for concern, or can I remedy that with lube, rust inhibitor, etc?

Question, did any GM 10 bolts come from the factory with 4.10 ratio on a half ton? Reason I ask is, the guy says he's never touched the gears.

The 410 gear and 700r4 will run 2500rpms at 70mph. I have that set up in my truck. That little bit of rust is no issue.
