Am I the only one that was happy that white stripe tires finally died off?
Ehh... They have their place. It's hard for me to picture 1960's-70's luxo-boats with blackwalls. One thing that has soured me a bit on whitewalls is that just about every older car or truck that's restored gets them, whether they look right on there or not. Most work trucks and stripped, fleet special cars look funny with the big, poofy wide whites that most people gravitate towards. That said, the trucks in those brochure pictures wear those not-all-that-narrow whitewalls better than I than I imagined. Not really my style, but not horrible either.
