assembly issue

I've never had an issue from it. Although I did once instal the tin cover so the leaky rear main seal didn't fling oil all over the place

Thanks for all the input.I'm on board with keeping the crude out so it's going on one way or the other.The motor is a newer small block and the guy I bought it from put on some chrome so I began wondering if that might be causing the issue.Hopefully get out there to work on it this weekend and see what gives.
