I have 6" lift Front springs for my truck, I understand there is a raised steering arm, and a drop Pitman arm. My question is do i need Both of them or will just one or the other work

A raised steering arm will get you pretty close to correct. Unless you have soft springs and lack a sway bar, it shouldn't cause any issue at all.

to be honest the steering arm is a pain in the ass to get off, and I feel like its gonna be more trouble than its worth, So i figure if I can get a lowered pitman arm I can go that route instead

Whatever floats your boat :) I'd just choose the steering arm due to cost, used ones can be found very cheap. As for removing them, I love an excuse to beat the crap out of something.

Yes, it does.

I did the steering arm for the blue Burb in my sig, it had the 6" Soft Ride lift.

You want your drag link as level with the road as possible. If it is angled you lose steering radius in one direction, and experience more bump-steer. Steering arms come off OK with a torch, penetrating oil, and getting those swedge locks to pop up.

Hi-jack here:

A raised steering arm will get you pretty close to correct.

So steering arm alone will suffice for 6" lift (Rancho)?

I'd just choose the steering arm due to cost,

I just ordered one and was gonna get the 2' drop pitman as well. Backordered so I didnt.

You want your drag link as level with the road as possible.

Got that, mine is slightly angled to the rear. Will both create additional problems?

I would rather have it sloping towrds the back than the front, if you plan to twist it up on the trail at all.

So if I went with both, no worries for a DD and benificial for trails?

Just dont want to drop $115 if I dont have to.

As long as the drag link isnt sloped towards the front. You would still lose steering radius in one direction.
