I just installed a new front clip on my 85 k10, the kid I bought the truck from threw the whole other front clip in the scrap pile. When I got it mounted it has some serious gap issues. The truck has a body lift and the way it's set up the puck sits directly on the frame in the rear of the cab and the front of the cab, but under the core support the kid has the core support on top a puck and the puck is on top of a 1 inch spacer. I'm my head that makes me think it I remove the space it should help bring the bottom part of th fenders more in line. See attached pictures. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Im no body guy but i would think that if you lower the front it should help bring the bottom in.

Aftermarket woes... I think it's just your core support that don't fit right. probably easier finding a stock one

Here's a good way to tell. Measure from passenger fender bolt to driver.

All 3 locations use the exact same body mounts, so if using a body lift they must all 3 be the same height.

It just looks like somebody painted the old support. You can see the rust scale under the paint
