WTB air cleaner air intake tube for a 1987 gm big block

What style is it? Does it come out straight towards the side and bend 90* to the front? If so, I bought one and it won't work for what I need.

yes it does but there were 2 different sizes one for SB and one for BB motors

Do you know if that came from a small block motor???

it kind of looks like its the one for the Small Block but pictures can be deceiving.

I def need the one for the Big Block Motor

What is the difference between the two? I can check tubing diameter etc to determine if it's right or not. It fits both stock air cleaner housings I have, and the front air baffle.

in the classic parts catalog on page 115 there is a picture of what I am looking for, the Big Block air cleaner had a larger opening than the small block, I would measure mine but its in the shop waiting for a new trans to be put in

they discontinued the part and no longer have it in stock

These are the measurements I got last night. The overall length is measured from end at the bend all the way to the end that goes to core support. And the tape is in dual units, I prefer the decimal engineering units because that's what I work with daily, but others prefer the fractions of inches.

the air cleaner opening I need is measured at 8 1/4 x 3 1/2

If I had a big block one I could send it to you. LMC doesn't carry one? Or is it strictly a junkyard item, or hope somebody has an extra laying around?

LMC doesn't have one, they were only on the 87-88 big blocks so there probably isn't enough demand to have them produced.
Classic Parts has one in their catalog but it is a discontinued item. I have been looking for one for about a year now
I would love to get my hands on one because I already fixed the flapper in the air cleaner that goes with it
