Advanced wiring 1.0 question

Trying to get the starter working on the CUCV and I think the problem is the number of splices in the wiring to the selenoid are causing enough of a voltage drop that it won't engage. The POs hacked it up quite a bit.

I would like to replace the wire from the engine side of the fuse block to the starter. I pulled block but cannot figure out how to remove the male pin and wire. I assume I will need a special crimper and terminal end to make the new wire. Where can I get these?

It also looks like there may have been a gasket between the fuse block halves, does anyone know, are these still availible?

What is the best way to clean up the connections before reassembling?

If you are referring to the bulkhead connector on the firewall, they should be Packard 56 terminals (at least on civilian trucks)
So if you can squeeze it to compress the tab down, it should slide out. May take a little work to get it to go if it has the black tar goo they liked to use on the bulkheads.

Yeah, thats the one. I tried squeezing it, must not of squeezed hard enough. Just don't want to screw it up worse than it is. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced crimper gor those connectors?
Sell it to me and I'll deal with it.
Actually the truck isn't hacked up, just the wiring in the starter circuit. Damm CUCV's have some weird wiring.
