Ac help please

1989 suburban with rear air. So we got the new expansion valve in/ orifice tube/ condenser/ seals. New blend door clip so all of that was moving before i put new seals on the duct work. Charged it up today was cooling fine.. i was pissin around in the garage letting it run and what not with the ac on cuz well i am excited to have ac . And it lets out a loud blast of air around the evap box. I shut it out garage js foggy yep lost all my freon im sure. Now when i select def/vents and what not at the control panel i get loud clicks under the hood as i select modes... it blows out of vents/floor and defrost... selector doesnt change that.. and i fired it up a second time and ran the ac after a few seconds. Same loud air discharge sound

Also ls swapped . With stock mechanical fan

Also stock ac compressor as well not the ac compressor

The clicking is probably the clutch cycling. It's normal for the AC to engage in the defrost position.

A loud blast of vapor around the evaporator box could be either refrigerant or coolant. Clicking could definitely be the AC clutch engaging as you move the slider, since there are at least four control positions that engage the AC.

Is there any antifreeze smell? Do you still have gauges available to connect up and check low and high AC pressure?

I dont have the gauge set anymore unfortunately its my buddy who lives 2.5 hours from me. No antifreeze smell i dont think. With the blower motor running i get a ton of air flow out around this tube now

You are right it was the compressor...
