A/C connecting

I have changed to a vortex engine and all the newer accessories now I am facing the a/c compressor the hoses don't hook up to my 1986 GMC sierra reciever/dryer have any of you changed to it and what parts do I need to change to make my a/c work, thanks to all.

The older systems often used o-ring fittings in SAE sizes 1/2”, 3/4”, etc) while newer system usually are metric (10mm, 12mm). I assume newer GM compressor fittings are metric, so you need to adapt.

Another option is to have custom barrier hoses made up, which was what I had to do with my ‘75. The real trick is to get all angled hose fittings oriented correctly, since you usually can’t change the clocking once they are crimped. A/C places don’t really like to do this custom work, but apparently the crimping tools for hydraulic hose ends are the same as those for A/C hose and you might find a friend who has the tools.
