Well after asking about that esc wire, turns out it's a ground. I removed it, and bolted it to the back of the head. I relocated the ESC module, MAP sensor, removed the intake bracket, cleaned up some wiring, removed the egr, and put a block off plate on, still need to repaint and maybe work on relocating other things, wires etc. But here's pics...

I removed the a/c ahwile back the condensor or whatever up front sprung a leak.

FYI it's an older style egr plate, it works just needs the holes elongated and it close to not covering the bottom hole, but it covered it and no leaks.

So this is a TBI motor converter to carb??? Any power difference?? I am really guessing not. The TBI heads are a major breathing restriction.

JMO, and I know for a fact there are good reasons to do away with TBI and go to carb for the reason of simplicity and keeping a big repair cheap on an old vehicle, but....
IMO, even though the TBI system isn't big on power, only fair on mpg, I'll says its a very durable system if not neglected and abused. Meaning if and when the time comes that it does need worked on, you do it right, like using a torque wrench so you don't warp the throttle body and things of that nature.

My dads, 94 1 ton with 350 TBI, NV4500 has at least 200,000 miles on it. All that has been to that truck period, is a fuel pump, and it didn't need it, just he high centered out at the property and knocked off the fuel guage sender, so had to beat the tank and repair the sending unit and figured, we're here, replace the pump cuz its been so long. A few battery replacements, Spark plugs have been changed twice now, and I recently changed the cap, rotor and plug wires. Still runs like new. No oil leaks, no antifreeze leaks. Did also change the alternator once and replaced the serpentine belt at that time. I am sure its ready for new radiator and heater hoses, which I really need to tell him to get done in preperation for the summer heat.

nope it's still tbi. great mileage too.

They are the cheap ebay stainless ones. Ball end so no leaks, and the gasket up top are good too, no leaks there either. Like $125 shipped to the door.

don't care for the colors, but they didn't have any reg. black ones, darn it.

They had like half or less of everything I needed. Went to get all the parts to fix and install a heater in the monte carlo for my brother in law. Well..

he needed 2 high beams, they only had one, with about 3 years dust on it.
he needed 2 exhaust sleeves 2-1/4 ID. they had none
needed 4 2-1/4 exhaust clamps for the sleeves, they had 2
heater core was $10 higher then advance,
blower motor was not in stock
they had to dig around to find my brake adapter, so I said forget it.
they had no 5/8 heater hose, and didn't get me the 3/4

So I'll be going to advance probably the end of the week.
