Hello all, I recently got myself into an 83 K10 shortbed 4x4, with a 4 inch lift and 35's, so far I have replaced the front fenders, hood, doors and ordered new rockers and cab corners, also replaced the bench seat with a seat out of a newer chevy, my question today is the truck came with manual windows, the donor doors have power windows, It is dreadfully hot here and I don't want to even drive the truck right now cause I can't roll down the windows. I know it is possible but does anyone know the steps on how to convert the power windows to manuals, i have all the old doors and guts. Thanks.

It's a straight forward conversion. Just keep track of everything.

I guess my question is does the whole window and regulator need to come out, or just pull out the power motor and put in the crank?

The regulator needs to come out. Pretty sure the window is the same.

Did you do it without taking the glass out? I'm about certain you can do it without removing the glass and then swap regulators.

I took the glass out of the old one and then pulled the regulator, when it came time to do the new doors i left the glass in, just taped it up and then swapped the regulators, The doors I bought had nice tinted windows so i wanted to keep that glass, i figured I would part out the old doors

There you go. I was going to say, it's easier to leave the glass in.
