why not buy one of the small universal ones, they are smaller than the one on a square and has it's own mounting bracket

yep the first pic is the one I'm looking for and it's on an 84, as far as I know it's stock.

As for one of the universal ones, not sure I saw them but not sure if I like the looks or not. I did consider using one though, still may.

I was gonna swipe the old mans and try it to see how well it fits before I try to get one, as far as I can tell I can make it work just fine it seems.

just go to a parts store they sell a universal mounting overflow tank for 10$.
or just get a 1 gallon antifreeze jug and poke a hole in the cap and run the hose through.

Here's pics of the one from Auto Zone. I think it would fit down in front of the battery but ya got to watch the trans lines can be in the way. I don't think it will fit under the battery tray. You also don't want the tube for it to be pulling on the tank nipple, they will break, got to zip tie it to something so the hose is limp.

I found your thread burbman.

Now i gotta go to autozone sometime soon and get me one.

As for the truck jug it aint gonna fit anyways just tried dad's and it's too wide. So maybe the 85 and up on the fender type would work but most liekly I'm gonna have to get the universal type jug and use it.

At my store I had to ask them for it, it was in the back, not out on the floor on a shelf, so if you don't see it, ask them.

I looked at my overflow jug, it's dinky. I'm almost wondering if it's aftermarket, but it looks factory. The hose that connects to it is clear, so I know the hose is a replacement.
