78' K20 Jack location?

my truck has no jack, jack handle or tire iron, but has these brackets on the passenger side inner fender well under the hood. (see pictures)

I'm pretty sure those brackets are supposed to be for holding the jack (maybe a bottle jack?) and a jack handle and or possibly a tire iron of some sort?

I've searched the net high and low looking for a picture of what's supposed to be there and how it's supposed to be mounted but haven't been able to find anything

does anyone have a picture of what's supposed to be under those brackets and how it's supposed to be mounted that you could possibly post up here?

I'd like to get a jack and tire iron for my truck and mount it correctly, but have no idea what I'm looking for or how it's supposed to be mounted.

Ebay has the instruction stickers and the stock jack. Stickers are a good price- the jack not so much. I'd check local junk yards instead.

I can go out and take a few pics during lunch if you'd like. My c30 still has the jack etc installed, hell the stickers are even still there!

Heres some of the best I could get, the sun was against me. Keep in mind this is on an 86 c30.

Drivers side, looks like jack only:

In this pic the wrenches are in between the coolant overflow bottle and the fender, the pic above shows how they are held down. You can see the battery at the bottom of the pic:

when I was at the gas station today, I saw a truck just like mine, same color, same interior, same year, ect. the guy had a really nice truck, a true survivor, he'd owned it since new and it was darn near flawless. I asked him if I could look under his hood and take a couple of pics, so I got a pic of the jack and related components, and it matched the picture almost exactly that 77 K20 posted, thanks .... Now I know what to look for.

I wonder, were different type of jacks used between the 2WD trucks and the 4x4's?

I just found this on craigslist, local for 15 bucks.

it's not exactly like that one in the picture I took today, and that truck was a 2WD, where mines a 4x4.

maybe I'm being to picky ... either way, for 15 bucks, I'm trying to pick up the one off craigslist anyway.

I've seen the 2wd ones had a different jack. It has a cradle area up on top for the rear solid axle. Then the cradle drops down to a hook down low. This was for grabbing the control arm area on a 2wd.
Having never owned a 2wd not exactly sure where it hooks onto.
Gramps- the one you took a pic of is the 2wd version. That being said I have seen them mounted in 4x4s also. They just don't quite cradle the solid axle as solid.
