Hi guys. im am new to this and this is my first post. i am looking at buying a 77 k10 for my first truck. it is a rebuilt 350 that has a couple mods with a holley 650 carb. it has a 6in lift on 33in tires. are these trucks dependable and worth buying?

Just really depends on the previous owner. For a long time my K10 was my backup, when everything goes wrong I could always depend on it starting and running flawlessly. But a lot of work went into getting it that way. Not that mine is on 6" lift/38s I would hate to have to drive it very far, or very often. But when it was 4" lift/33s I took her everywhere. ^" lift on 33s seems like too much lift IMO, going to have a lot of space above the tire in the fenderwell.

Is it any better driving shorter distances? I know 38s with mud grips are hard on axles on tar.
