I don't have cash to spare at the moment, but if anyone knows of where I can get a Driveshaft with yoke out of a 3/4 ton longbed 73-76 truck with a small block lemme know. The reason I am specific on these parameters, is because it will be a Th350 yoke with the bigger 3/4 U-Joints, and the correct length for a 14b Full Floater. I need this for putting a 700r4 in my 84 C20 that currently has a Th400. I do not want my alter my current dshaft since its a bolt on yoke 2 piece driveshaft, and I may have to put the Th400 back in it if I tear up the 700r4 to quick. Gotta test experiemnt with a 700r4 in mind.

Didn't 1973-76 come with 2 piece driveshafts? Should be able to use one all the way to '86. Half or 3/4 ton with a TH350.

Yes they did come with 2 pc as far as I know, BUT, 73-76 and some 77's came with a Th350 in 3/4 tons. The 3/4 tons having a 14b Full Float instead of a 12 or 10 bolt so the distance can vary. Also the 3/4 ton rear U Joint is bigger, and so is the Yoke U-Joint. I could always just use one of my spare 1/2 ton driveshafts out of the 80 and 81 trucks I have, then use a special U-Joint to the 14b FF. But what if the distance is differant. I just know I'd be out of the woods all together if i had a 73-76 3/4 ton dshaft. Even if its 2 pc, that is fine. My 3/4 has a 2pc now too.

OH, and by 77 all 3/4 ton and 1 ton came with Th400's with bolt on yokes, which is what I have in the truck now and will be in the other C20 too if I don't use that cab on the 85K10.

I can tell you the pinion on the 14b ff is about 2" shorter than the pinion on a 12 bolt. You would think it would be the other way around but no.

Thanks for the info. I knew the distance was different. Yes, you'd expect it to be more for sure, meaning a shorter ahaft.
