73-75 k5 door inner braces

I have an 80 K5 that was converted to full convertible. The doors were cut from regular doors, and my driver's door is ripping at the base of the a pillar. Everything I come across for people who have done this conversion mentions the need for braces in the door, but not where they go.Does anyone have pics of them on the door so maybe I could use them as a reference to fab some.

That said, the brace is not wildly different from a full door. There’s a brace in my full doors. The 73-75 doors have an arm that has the plate to screw the cover to. (I wasn’t smart enough to take pics of the full door brace)
