Well we figired out its the blue and blk wire but we tested al that amd all the wire checls out.

We knkw we have power to the speedo cause the service engine soon light comes on and the needle picks up slightly when the key is turned on. Wjat are the odds of two different speedos being bad? Any way to check them? Granted they have like 180, 000 on em

Figured out the problem. Traced the wires to this little white box under the dash with had a burnt up connection. Soldered it back together and she shifts beautifully and the speedo works! Thanks for all the help!

Awesome. I figured the problems were related. So that is the swapped out cluster for the ECM motor and trans swap. Very Cool you got it figured out. :waytogo:

Thanks for that info now if we need to get another one we know what It is lol.

Hot rod yeah I had to use the cluster out of a 91 burb. The hookups didnt match up so I had to splice and try to chase down colors and wires so everything worked. Dash lights, brake lights, markers and headlights, etc. Man this thing has some power.

The only thing doesnt work is the wipers but we almost got them figured out with the test light. Going right now to get the registration and then get it inspected by my cousin who wont nit pic us lol.

Yeah, What Retro said. That is what and where you'd change your speedo should you even change tire size or gear ratio too.
